We would like to thank the people, groups and businesses who have contributed in one way or another to making our ride possible.
Experience Cycling: A Duncan based bicycle store. They have generously provided the entire Parky’s Pedalers team with matching jerseys. They also sponsored the coffee break at the Aquatic Centre in Duncan.
Cowichan Aquatics Centre: They have graciously provided space to host the Pedalers’ pre-lunch coffee stop.
Nanaimo Alliance Church: Located at the corner of Meredith and Boundary near the hospital, they are where the Nanaimo Parkinson’s Support Group holds its monthly meetings. They have graciously provided a place for the Day 4 lunch in Nanaimo to be held.
Island Communications: A Nanaimo based company specializing in all forms of analog and digital communications. They have graciously provided us with a satellite phone and communication time so that, in an emergency, we can be in contact with the rest of the world, especially in those up-island areas without cellular coverage.
Rawmbas: A Nanaimo based health food restaurant serving vegan and gluten free food. They helped design the Pedaler’s Wrap for the Day 4 lunch in Nanaimo and gave us a good discount as well. They are located in a small mall between Home Depot and the BCAA office in NO. They make great smoothies too.
Shawnigan Lake School: They are hosting the Day 5 lunch.
